Submissions

        If you have new data, which is NOT already included in the current FGS (or GEDCOM) of a family, please e-mail it to me as an "attached file" (not part of a "text body" message) in GEDCOM for PAF format (zipped).  Please DO NOT duplicate more than the "last" name I already have in the branch you're adding to.  Generate "desc's" of that person.  If you are unable to generate a GEDCOM file, and wish to submit data, please use a brief "indented" format NOT a wordy "narrative" one (see below).  Please include dates & spouses if known.  As the "hub", I get lots of data and anything you can do to make my life easier is greatly appreciated.

hello so i take it that there is no information on john s lee b 1792 my record from the salt lake city libary shows him m, to nancy hardee but i have not been to the libary for some time i live in salt lake city so what records can i check for the website you sent me i found my booth family but i did not find john s lee being that he was born in 1792 he fought in the war how come i can not find nothing on him please help he would be my greatgreatgreatgrandfather thank you [their name]

Place Names

        It seems there are a lot of people who don't know there's a proper way & another way to enter places in "genie" programs, so I'll make it clear right here.

Correct format:
city , county , state , country or
city , , state or
, county , state
(country isn't needed unless it's other than USA).

Incorrect format:
city , state (needs 2 commas) or
county , state (needs a leading comma)
